HSBC Imposes Paper Statement Fee for Corporate Bank Accounts
Starting from 1st August 2015, HSBC will charge a fee of HK$20 for each (set of) paper statement sent to Companies by post. Clients who wishes to maintain the bank statements for record keeping or for audit and/or compliance purposes should download and retain the bank statements via the HSBC Internet Banking website under "Maintain eStatement and eAdvice" section. Under current guidelines, HSBC will erase the eStatements after 24 months of uploading the document to the Internet Banking website and subsequent request for bank statements not available on the Internet Banking website will incur charges.
