EXPIRATION FOR REDUCTION OF BUSINESS REGISTRATION FEE
EXPIRY OF THE REVENUE (REDUCTION OF BUSINESS REGISTRATION FEES) ORDER 2013
The reduction of Business Registration Fees (BR Fees) will expire on 1 April 2014, the BR Fees will revert back to its original amount of HKD2,250 from its current subsidise fee of HKD250. We anticipated that there will be an upsurge in demand for new business registration services in March 2014. In order to obtain your business registration certificate smoothly, if you are planning to set up the company in Hong Kong in the near future, please contact us as soon as possible.
NEW COMPANIES ORDINANCE TAKES EFFECT ON 3 MARCH 2014
The new Companies Ordinance and its subsidiary legislation (new CO) have already commenced operation on 3 March 2014, of which will provide a modernized framework for the companies’ operation and incorporation in Hong Kong, thereby strengthening Hong Kong's status as an international commercial and financial centre.
Companies are reminded to comply with the requirements under the new CO, and use the appropriate new forms and returns. Please refer to our News and Resources Section for the major changes of the new Companies Ordinance.
